thejeepjunkie Plays Hookey

So, a few weeks ago, thejeepjunkie needed to meet a building inspector who was to inspect the replacement windows thesungoddess had installed in the Kid's house.

Well, that inspector showed up at the crack of dawn thirty and, afterward, thejeepjunkie called me.

Whatchadoing? Sleeping, you? Waiting. Waiting for what? Waiting for you to wake up so we can hit John's Junkyard up on US 1. Well, I'm awake now, see ya in 15.

And thejeepjunkie and the olelongrooffan headed up US 1 to that infamous junkyard. You might remember I saw that old Tony Stewart Hearse there a few months ago.

So anyway, this old junkyard is scattered from here to there with a little bit of everything in between. thejeepjunkie checks out this old mid 50's caddy sedan

while I was checking out the mid 60's MOPAR sedans.

Remember when a cup holder was an indentation in the glove box door? As is shown in this old

AMC product.

And this sweet, late 50's Rambler wagon. Irreplaceable that is for sure.

And a couple old Scouts. Of course, thejeepjunkie is scouting around looking for seatbelts for the Kid's CJ.

And, of course, a few big trucks.

This is a shot of thejeepjunkie on top of that Lee adult jungle-gym, affectionately known in other circles as the frame of a big truck.

thejeepjunkie had just pulled the data plate, now resting on Haven Lee Farm, from an old firetruck and scrambled up onto that frame to further examine it.

And, as thejeepjunkie commented, in Florida, junkyard searching requires a machette!!

The above beast is an old Travco Motorhome. Classic old beast but its roadworthy days are over. RIP.

Just another sight over at John's on US 1.

We spotted this classic old Greenbriar Van. thejeepjunkie did get me an emblem off of it for the wall of the Taj Mahal.

Yeah, a whole conglomeration of stuff.

A Studebaker Lark along with a Range Rover Sport!!

This dude was having a blast, just busting sh*t up!

An Orphan Olds.

More gym equipment!! An old Pontiac, Olds ragtop and many more.

Just a ton of old stuff....VW Bus, F-1, Plymouth, Mercury---Book Em Danno--

And finally, an import, an old MGB.

Just alot of fun out with thejeepjunkie looking around and finding just a bunch of old stuff!!

Thanks jeepjunkie for including me in your adventures as you continue to

Celebrate Life.
