Vehicles Seen Around the Rolex24

So, while this olelongrooffan was out and about at the Daytona International Speedway over the Rolex 24 weekend, I thought I would capture a few images of the vehicles the spectators to this event chose to drive to this happening....

Well, of course, you knew this olestationbus would show up...

but how about this off road capable Segway? Wait, what is that in the background?

Oh yeah, that cool ole Studebaker Flatbed this olelongrooffan has seen around town...

And in just a random order of sightings....
Is this a Lambo? And what about that fugly Sebring Convertible, has to be a rent-a-car.....
\and then this Mercedes in the same trio....

Oh yeah, it is possible to be passed out in the middle of the afternoon, just outside the Women's restroom. Yeah dude, you are so likely to get lucky tonite.

But, this olelongrooffan will say this....I maybe shoulda traded the olestationbus for one of these on Craigslist last month....a, say, early 70's Mercedes 280 coupe.... Ahhhh.

Then again, check out the members of the local air cooled fan club.

Nice stuff all around...

And this olelongrooffan loves this 356 bathtub....

And on to less rare vehicles...this is one TheKenMan would like....but unfortunately it was made of the same materials this one.........

And then there is this rare Slant Nose 911...Always a nice presentation. Interestingly enough, Porsche Red is the only color I have ever seen of this automobile legend.

And then this soon to be extinct Dodge Viper, but a ragtop?

Hey...check out those cars between NASCAR turns 1 and 2 in the background....

Check out this means of transport to the 24....this dude had a total campout set up, plus a portable laptop with cable TV access...and he spent the whole weekend there...

and thejeepjunkie's bright yellow flat fender was a real hit with him!!

Just down the way, I found this Ford GT....

and face to face with it was this super sweet Porsche 944

sorry about this olelongrooffan's shadow in that shot...but I will still take the Porsha..no typo there...anytime over the GT......

Finally, one of the last cool rides I spotted was this Renault 1100, which I believe to be a

Floride, as this olelongrooffan has a 1/43 diecast of this same ragtop, and the best part,

I later spotted it down at the GRM Experience and captured a couple more images of it.

And, just knowing that happened, and being in the position to enjoy it, lets me

Celebrate Life.

Bus will now be trying to find the owner of that 6by so it can be parked next to the big yellow bus and Lil Jim's dodge 4 by.

I always wanted one of those 6bys, but don't have the mechanical know how to keep it on the road.... and I don't know any guys down at the local Reserve Center... oh well
