Koni Challenge Racecars In The Garage

So, the day before the Rolex24, the Koni Challenge race cars, sponsored by Continental Tires, have their day in the sun down here at the Daytona International Speedway.

Since this olelongrooffan was there anyway, yeah, Thursday through Sunday, then meeting with Manuel Labor every day this week, this oleunemployedconstructionworker is exhausted.

Anyway, I thought I would share some images I gathered up that day with all you Counters out there.

The below image of this Subby back up car. The primary race car was out practicing while this olelongrooffan was wandering around the garage area.

And, as in all forms of racing I follow, one dude in full fire protection gear and another close by with a fire extinguisher, just in case. But note the other two dudes in this image, as well as this olelongrooffan, were standing nearby with absolutely no protection!! Hey buddy, got a light?

Saw this cool Audi up on jackstands just down garage row just a bit.

And her sister cars, Volkswagen Jettas.

And a nearly ubiquitous Mazda Miata MX5 with the hardtop installed.

And another....

This was the Honda team lined up for a team photo. To my left while shooting this image was a guy up on the top of a transporter orchestrating this shoot.

Just some of the means of transportation around the garage and pits, for both humans and their tools.

Once again, this olelongrooffan took this image for a reason but I sure as h*ll don't know what it was.

This is a shot of the racecars lining up to head out for their 2010 debut.

Here is a short video of the cars heading out.

And another of the teams heading out. Notice how the race cars have the right of way?

That's it for the Koni Challenge cars, I think, but know this olelongrooffan had a blast out there that day as I continue to

Celebrate Life.
