A quick post here while I am loading images of What I Saw Today.
Toward mid-afternoon, while playing hooky and sitting in my living room, thejeepjunkie gets a click-click from BBB. Seems he is heading over this way and wants to hook up to get the ole busted up surfboard the Kid has promised him for his lanai. Remember that lanai? You can refresh that memory here and remember why BBB would want an old surfboard. Besides, the Kid is getting a couple new ones from his Aunt and his Cousin.
As I arrived, BBB was waxing philosophic about the rituals of driving a Jeep. "Don't put a step on the side to get in and out. If a girl needs a step, she isn't athletic enough to be going out with you." "When you are going up a steep hill in 4 wheel drive, when you get to the top, say to the crowd gathered watching, 'Next hill, I might need 4WD." You know BBB stuff like that.
Anyway, I had the Kid shoot a couple images of the three of us for posterity's sake.
A little later, thesungoddess, who hates all "these junk cars" in her driveway came out and we all were talking about Jeeps and trails and such. thejeepjunkie mentions that here in our part of Florida, the land is all flat. BBB inquires if he had been over to the Ocala National Forest, there are hills over there. thejeepjunkie mentions he is not 100%, yet, certain of the dependability of BBB's CJ2A to take it that far. BBB mentions, in front of thesungoddess mind you, "You should just buy a big trailer and put both Jeeps on it and tow it behind Cheryl's truck over there." thesungoddess's response, "Yeah, like that is going to happen." Oh well, the best laid plans.
So thesungoddess and the Kid's sister took off for softball practice and thejeepjunkie, the Kid, and BBB started telling stories. Of course, I had to share the time, just last week when thesungoddess realized thejeepjunkie's CJ2A had sprung a leak in the gas tank and her comment, "If you didn't take it out in the woods, that wouldn't have happened." Luckily thejeepjunkie loves the Mother of his children.
I got a video of a couple from BBB and thought you might like to take a look.
The automobile, owned by TheGentlemanFarmer, those boys are laughing so hard about can be seen here.
Needless to say, a fun and laughter filled couple hours with those boys. I wish you could have been with us as we continued to
Celebrate Life.

Nice tale, I made a couple of trips to get the Citroen also.
What made it doubly hard was when the hydrolics let down the suspension and you couldn't get it to roll up on the trailer with out getting hungup on the undercarriage.
I seem to recall it had a full belly pan.
Good to see Bob, Ed and you enjoying a relaxing time.
Thanks
tom
