I came across this ad on Craigslist on Sunday nite and forwarded it to thejeepjunkie.

Now ever since we were kids, Ed has been a Jeep Junkie. It started off by playing in the yard on National in The Queen City of the Ozarks with the following:

Next came BBBob's old Army jeep.

thejeepjunkie even has a copy of this picture taped to the cabinets in his garage.

Hell, he even worked on the bus's old jeep on his vacation to the Ozarks earlier this year.

thejeepjunkie relates here about the acquistion of the Kid's first Jeep. What thejeepjunkie leaves out is the process by which he worked himself into a position to acquire this thing.

It starts out years ago when thejeepjunkie and his family lived down near Ft. Lauderdale. Seems he picked up a couple abandoned Hobie Cat sailboats at a sheriff's auction. As a sidebar, when a hurricane in on the way, if you have your Hobie on the beach, you must remove it or it is impounded by the sheriff. If you don't claim it and pay the fine, it is sold at public auction. Anyway, thejeepjunkie fixed these up, parlayed them into, in no particular order, a Bronco II, a Blazer, an off road motorcycle, a go cart, and I am sure there are a bunch more trades in there. It progressed into thejeepjunkie getting the following Jeep for the Kid.

Which he promptly parlayed into the following.

Now, thejeepjunkie has a gift to gab, which is why he is so successful at what he does. But it truly amazes me that he could parlay this carcass of an old CJ

Into this old CJ.

It is a real beauty. All the rust has been repaired.

Although this is not the period correct tailgate, this is a Willy's not a Jeep.

It even has the original steering wheel in the bed of this buggy.

Nice straight lines.

And unlike this CJ,

this one has a windshield wiper.

And here is a shot of thejeepjunkie leaning up against his newest addition to his livery.

We were talking about this thing and what he is going to do with it, and much like the dog who catches the car, he doesn't know.

He has always wanted a flat fender and now there are 2 CJ's in his livery, only one of which the sun goddess knows about, and the Kid wants to keep his CJ5.

Conundrums, Conundrums.

All in all, great job on acquiring a great Jeep. Hope you figure out what to do with it.
