Trying Something New
So last January I was surfing around these tubes and found this website and I started uploading some images. I then, promptly, forgot about it until today when I was looking around in My Favorites on Internet Explorer.
I loaded a few more images and thought I would share it with you. Still working on the resolution and cropping of the images but, well, here it is.

What I Saw Today
Those of you Counting Along With Me will know that I own a 1963 Ford Falcon Station Bus, affectionately known by me as the olestationbus.
From 1961 to 1967, Ford Motor Company produced this station bus as well as a Ford Econoline Van as well as an Econoline Pickup.
If you were in the market for a Forward Control Pickup during this time, you had a choice of that Econoline or this or this or this.
However, if you really wanted something out of the box, and I would say all of my brothers, and myself, would have in 1963, chosen this.
A 1963 Volkwagen Type II Transporter single cab pickup truck.
This beauty was in immaculate condition, fully restored, with a funky oversize STOP light mounted on the right rear. I am unsure if this was an option or not but it sure looked right in place.
The bed even had oak strips, something I knew was on 50's era US made pickups although inversed. That is the bed was oak and they had metal strips covering the joints on the wood.
The Sambo.com sticker fit right in with the, somewhat suggestive, In-N-Out sticker. Just for the record, In-N-Out is a drive thru burger joint and I have eaten at them before and they are right tasty.
This dashboard is nearly as sparten at the one on my olestationbus and I love the convenient tray below the dash.
And a shot of the door to the "Treasure Chest".
And a driver's side view of the dash. Hard metal everywhere!!
This is a view of the resting place for the windshield wipers while the windshield is open.
Even the ball on the top of the antenna was cool. See those two screws on the windshield? The only bit of rust on this entire buggy. We are beachside after all.
Yeah, a highly desirable ride, at least to me.
